Summer Wedding Celebration at Walnut Grove

From the start Amanda & Ross were so much fun to plan with. Brian had the pleasure of being their DJ/MC for their special wedding celebration at the beautiful Walnut Grove. To personalize their day even more, we had them curate a handful of great trivia questions about the couple and then Brian had some fun with their family and friends to release them to an amazing buffet dinner prepared by Command Performance. Seriously...it is sooo good. When dancing started up again after dinner, everyone was ready to go and on the floor dancing up a storm untill the very last song.

NFL Bar Mitzvah at SoFi Stadium | Los Angeles Ca.

Every once in a while we get calls that are not music entertainment related. This particular event was just that. The call was for a Mitzvah, but not your traditional celebration by any means. It was for Josh's Bar Mitzvah and being held at SoFi Stadium! That's right the new stadium where the NFL Los angeles Rams and Chargers play. On this one we left our music gear behind and put together a super fun football themed program for Josh and all of his friends right on the field. It was also the very first weekend that SoFi was open for special events. Pretty awesome if you ask us.

Bat Mitzvah at Wood Ranch Golf Club | Simi Valley, Ca.

All of our events in 2020 had to be moved due to the Covid pandemic. Sammy's Bat Mitzvah was unfortunately one of those many events. We were excited to hear when we received the call from Laura (Sammy's Mom) that they were moving forward in 2021. As you can imagine, it was tough to see our clients have to postpone their special celebrations especially for Mitzvahs, where the child has to prepare and read from the tora for thier ceremony along with the Hebrew classes. And...Sammy had to keep up with it for over a year. Mazel Tov!!

Holiday Party at the Historic Union Station in Los Angeles, Ca.

We are always so excited to get a call from our loyal corporate clients and rock their events year after year. Some of them we have been asked back 12 years in a row. And the reason...each year the party is completely different. Maybe it's the vibe or different games, or looking for a fun music theme. Whatever it is, we are going to make sure that we not only bring our A game every year, but it will be a whole new A game. This particular company we have performed for many years, but in 2016, they decided that they are stopping with a holiday party all together. Of course, we were sad because it was always an amazing event and great fun people. Every year since, we would do a friendly check in to see if things had changed, but it was the same answer of a kind "no we are unfortunately forgoing the party this year". Then...2019 came around, same check in, but this time they were ready and...ready to do it in a big way.

The setting was the historic ticket counter room at the Los Angeles Union Station. This is an amazing room with beautiful marble floors, giant 100 foot vaulted ceilings and a 80+ year old ticket counter that stretched just about the distance of the room.

Cheers entertainment’s co-owner, Al Darroch in the middle just to show how massive this room is.

Naturally, we suggested lighting decor around the room and projected gobos on the walls. It was a casino theme, so dice and an Ace on these larger than life walls were the way to go. Dropped our battery powered uplighting around the room to give it that nice glow as well. We brought in pin-spots for all the 13 casino tables, so everyone could see what they were betting. To finish, we had a custom logo made and projected it 80 feet up in air on the entry arch as guests walked in.

The room atmosphere was set and now to set up the DJ. We were honored to set up inside the ticketing booth on a riser. This load in was so tricky because nothing could physically touch the tix booth or the marble floors. There was one person dedicated to watching the booth at all times during setup. Wheeww! We made it work.

We are all ready to go, casino guys and gals are doing their final prep and the photo booth is taking their final test snaps. Let's Open the doors.

The event industry has completely vanished amongst many other industries and businesses (temporarily of course, fingers crossed). It has been a real struggle to come up with ideas and keep doing what we do best. Playing great music, bringing smiles to faces and helping create fun, creative & lasting memories.

Well...we figured out how to do this at a safe distance and still create an amazing event. Streaming from our homes to yours, we are now booking VIRTUAL PARTIES! Birthdays, Company meet-ups on Zoom, game nights, graduations and more. Thinking of having a themed event. Maybe a 70's, 80's party, we are ready!! Take the party to the next level and add our visual DJ experience. We not only play the great music you want to hear, we can also play great music videos and cool visuals to attract your eyes as well.

Rustic Country Wedding at Walnut Grove | Moorpark, Ca.

Every so often we do not meet with the bride and groom right away. Sometimes we get a call from a family member or friend that has been given the duty to find the best Wedding DJ. In this case our DJ, Brian got the call from the Bride's mom, Dana. She came in with all the great questions. One of the things that made her feel at home and taken care of is that our company has done many, many amazing weddings at The Walnut Grove and was one of the first preferred vendors on list 10 plus years and still is to this day. It was this and the confidence that she received from Brian that her daughter's rustic country wedding would go off without a hitch.
